I'm the Hen Ferchetan. This is my take on the world through the eyes of Wales. While mostly about Welsh politics (that most famous of dour topics!) I try to scatter some humour around, but I doubt anyone but me will find it funny! Have a read, and if it bores you then feel free to never come back!

Praise You!

A good spot by the "What Is Wales And What It Is For?" blog today.

The Mule recently printed a nice glossy magazine informing us of the up and coming Welsh business to watch out for, their so called "Fast Growth 50". One page of the magazine was dedicated to the re-born blogger and Tory politician Professor Dylan Jones-Evans. A very flattering piece apparently, Prof Jones Evans was described as a "passionate champion who is ahead of his time".

The founder and Director of the Fast Growth 50 project and editor of the magazine? Professor Dylan Jones-Evans!

...and if you read the posey Tory Professor's blog, one could be forgiven for believing there wasn't any growth taking place in Wales for him to celebrate!

This goon wants it both ways!

Is he irrelevant or what?!

Why so anti - the guy is a guru
The editorial is written by Sion Barry by the way
If you want to have a go do it where he can answer on his blog.

Are you talking to me or the commenter?

"A guru is a person who is regarded as having great knowledge, wisdom and authority in a certain area, and uses it to guide others" - so this obviously doesn't apply to this guy!

Infact, no Tories fall into this category! Where have you been for the last 10 years? Unless of course you are him, 'one business in wales'! :-)

"In fact, no Tories fall into this category ... "

Who does fall into this category, I'm interested.

Completely unfair and unwarranted and anon is right that this piece was written by Sion Barry, the business editor of the Western Mule. Dylan has been doing this for ten years when no-one else would bother. It is bloody typical of Wales to criticise someone who has been doing his best to highlight enterprise and success. Perhaps you could let us know what any of you have done for Welsh business. Let me guess - sweet FA.

anon 1 - So why bother reading his blog as you obviously do? Pathetic!

Thanks for your kind words and for not letting the truth get in the way of a good blog entry :)

Now if I was only the business editor of the Western Mail....!

Dylan, if any word of that post is not the truth then do tell and I'll amend accordingly.

The post says two things:

1. The Fast growth 50 magazine had a very complimentary article with those quotes I quoted

2. You were the editor of the magazine.

As I said, if either of those two statements are incorrect I'll gladly amend it.
